Rashmirathi is a Hindi epic poem written by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. It tells the story of Karna, one of the central characters in the Indian epic Mahabharata. The poem is divided into seven chapters or sargas.

Here are some interesting quotes from Rashmirathi:

(Jiske khat mein uska naam nahin, woh kab tak khud ka hai apna?) - Whose letter does not have his name, how long will he be his own?
(Jo apne dukh se doosron ko dukhi kare, woh kshan-bhangur hai sukhi kahlaane ke layak nahin.) - He who makes others unhappy with his own sorrow is not worthy of being called happy even for a moment.

Meaning: A learned man should not believe in the distinction between upper and lower echelons of society. One who has forgiveness should be revered.

Meaning: brave from body, emotional at heart, charitable from behavior, not of caste-sect, proud of his character and manliness.
